If you have seen it, you know exactly what I am talking about. If you havent seen it, here she is.    And just in case you thing you may confuse her with another car, here is a shot from the back.     So here is the back story on my car and a little contest. We participated in the 2009 BizTech Expo and happend to be down a few booths from Wrapture Graphics. (I secretly wanted my car wrapped) So I would go down to the Wrapture booth and talk to Ben when foot traffic was slow. Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend, I know I did! I enjoyed the forced downtime that Tropical Storm Lee brought me. Can’t believe that it is week 2 of this challenge already, it seems like yesterday I wrote week 1 (I actually forgot that today was Tuesday, so I’m getting a late start). So where did I leave off…. Oh yea!! I was going to tell you how we became Geauxing Places with Whitehead Travel. Whitehead Travel and Cruise was originally owned by Jewel  Whitehead and had been in Denham Springs since the 80’s. In early 2006  Whitehead Travel sold to Associated Travel... Read→

Very old pic but that's me! I am not exactly sure where to stat here so I will start with the Blog Challenge. I stopped by Drift Web Design the other day (which FYI they are pretty amazing) to talk about some tweeks (is that really a word?) to our web site. David in his total web savvy awesomeness told me that if I really wanted this to work I needed to be consistent with my blogging. More specifically I needed to blog once a week on Tuesdays. He forced made twisted my armchallenged me to blog once a week on Tuesdays for 20 minutes at a time for 4 straight weeks.  So here is week one… I... Read→

Over the last few weeks I have seen a surge in our group bookings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, high school senior trips, family reunions, grandma taking everybody on a trip, Sunday school classes, girls/guys getaways, or just several couples wanting to get away for a little while (sometimes with sometimes without kids).  This got me to thinking about how I travel, it is usually in a group.  I just got back from New York City on a girls trip, the last (non-Disney) cruise was group of 128 people, that I escorted because it was by far the largest group I had ever done and I wanted to make sure... Read→

Have a budget You need to have a range of how much you want to spend.  Be realistic, you probably won’t find a 5 star all-inclusive resort for 7 nights for only $1000. Avoid peak season. All destinations have a peak season, find out when that is. Holiday weeks are always busy. Try to avoid booking during that week, or be prepared to pay for it. All –inclusive All-inclusive hotels charge on average $125 per person per day for food and drinks. If your budget is tight reconsider; do you really want to pay $250 per day for food and drinks? Instead find a hotel with a free breakfast; then use... Read→

For those of you who book direct I have a question for you? Why? Why spend your valuable time searching when that is what we are here for? Do you call a plumber or use an auto mechanic? Travel agents are professionals in their field and we are here for you and one great thing about travel agents that as a general rule we only charge for air only reservations. That’s right you don’t have to pay us, we are paid by the vendor. (There are a few... Read→
