There are few words to describe what it feels like to walk among giants…literally. Every nation on Earth has erected giant, magnificent pieces that somehow, always manage to withstand whatever time and nature throw at them.

And this might just be our opinion, but these monuments seem to grow more beautiful with age; they certainly become more valuable with age. France doesn’t have a shortage of these massive wonders too. There are 2 in particular that you have to see if ever a vacation takes you to France. First up is France’s most popular tower.

Eiffel Tower

This world-famous icon is more than 100 years old. It was erected for the World Exposition of 1889, cementing itself in France’s long and colorful history.

Ironically, back when it was unveiled, public reaction to it was far from pleasant. It was almost torn down, but it grew on people as time ticked by and now, it’s synonymous with France.

No matter how many times you see this tower, you can’t help but pause and gawk when the tower lights up in a brilliant display every hour and evening.

In our opinion, Going to France and not seeing the Eiffel Tower could be likened to a crime, so make sure you fall victim to it.

Notre Dame Cathedral

If you had a childhood, you should be very familiar with Disney’s classic adaptation of ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’. Well, this is the real deal. Travel to France and you’ll get to see the real Notre Dame Cathedral.

The building is another ancient masterpiece that simply dominates the atmosphere it stands in. It may not be as large as the Eiffel Tower but it’s certainly has a much greater wealth of history behind it.

The architecture speaks of a time lost to stories and history books. There is very little wonder why countless documentaries about the place are shot all the time.

Being in the cathedral gives you lovely, panoramic views of Paris; it gives you a chance the see the famed gargoyles perched at the topmost part of the cathedral; and the ‘Towers of Notre Dame’ tour give you a more in-depth understanding of the entire place. Few tours are as fun and interesting as it, we can assure you.
