My love of travel grew from the simple family trips I would take with my parents to visit family or camping in the Rocky Mountains. Because of those trips I had a special love of Geography and it would lead me to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies Education. I taught History and Geography for 9 years and then, because of a love of helping people, I got my Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling. I discovered that the two areas also helped me in planning trips for family and friends. I began working in the Travel Industry professionally about 8 years ago and I have loved every minute of those years. I love helping couples plan their Honeymoons to All Inclusive Resorts and then later their Anniversary trips to Europe! I really enjoy working with clients who are traveling to Walt Disney World and assisting with their travel plans through dining reservations or even fast passes. Walt Disney World holds a special place in my heart, I have been approximately 75 times since the destination first opened and I stayed at the Polynesian Village with my mother and her best friend. It was a great “Girls trip” and I remember the excitement when we first saw the Electrical Water Pageant go past our balcony! It is so much fun to work with clients who have never traveled before and see how excited they are after their first trip, especially the ones who travel out of the country for the first time!

Because of my background in Education, I also decided to get a certification as an Autism Travel Specialist to be able to assist those with children with Autism as well as those with special needs. It is always exciting when a client lets me know that I helped take a lot of stress off of planning their trips and they were more able to enjoy the time spent on vacation with their families.

Over the years, what I figured out is that it is all about Memories. It was Memories my parents were creating for us when we did those long road trips when I was young and it is still about Memories when I travel or help others with travel plans today. What I would tell everyone, especially those with children, get out there and make those memories. They truly do last a lifetime!
